WHO WE ARE

Clínica OIRA was established in 1962 under the name *Orientación Infantil para Rehabilitación Audiológica A.C.* (OIRA), driven by the enthusiasm of a group of parents of children with hearing impairments. Led by Juan and Enelda Luttman, these parents visited clinics in various countries before founding the institution. In 1979, the Luttmans donated Clínica OIRA to the Universidad de las Américas, retaining the original name due to the clinic's already distinguished reputation.

Beginning in 1980, the clinic expanded its scope of care to include not only hearing services but also learning, language, and speech.

objective

  • Provide diagnostic and treatment services to individuals with special educational needs in the areas of hearing, learning, language, and speech.
  • Empower patients visiting the clinic to fully realize and develop their potential, thereby facilitating their integration into their various environments.
  • Participate in the practical training of future professionals in the field of Human Communication by integrating with the UDLACDMX Bachelor’s degree program in Human Communication.
