Objective

  • Training professionals with ample basic knowledge in the areas of General Psychology, Biological Basis of Behavior, Human Development, Evaluation and Diagnosis, Clinical or Organizational Psychology for their further application in the understanding of the behavior of individuals, organizations and their relationship with the context.
  • In the clinical area, the professional will apply theoretical and methodological knowledge about individual behavior in the performance of diverse therapies for psychological intervention of individuals suffering from psychosocial issues.
  • In the organizational area, the professional will apply theoretical and methodological knowledge about human behavior within organizations to plan and manage human capital projects, human talent and potential development projects, and act as an organizational change agent.
  • The professional will perform his or her activities ethically and responsibly, making decisions for the benefit of the people under his or her attention, evidencing at all times professionalism, honesty, respect for human dignity and tolerance in face of individual differences.

 

Enrollment Profile

To enroll into this bachelor's degree, the applicant shall comply with the general requisites of admission to the University, as well as with the following specific characteristics:

  • Vocation for Psychology and community service.
  • An attitude of respect and tolerance towards personal, physical, cognitive and ideological differences, as well as diverse beliefs or convictions.
  • Reading comprehension.
  • Spoken and written communication skills.
  • Ability to generate social empathy.
  • Ability to understand, analyze  and evaluate human behavior.
  • Critical thinking capabilities.
  • Interest to go deeper in the field of human behavior.

 

Graduation Profile

The professional graduated from the Licenciatura en Psicología will possess knowledge, skills, attitudes and abilities that enable him or her to plan, prevent, diagnose, intervene, evaluate and research in the sphere of individual and organizational behavior.

Therefore, at the time of completion, the graduate will have acquired the following knowledge, skills, attitudes and abilities:

Knowledge:

  • About the areas of general psychology, biological basis and psychological development.
  • About evaluation and diagnosis of both clinical and organizational psychology.
  • About the different therapies for individuals with psychosocial issues.
  • About human behavior within organizations.

In order to be able to apply the foregoing knowledge, the graduate shall possess sufficient skills for:

  • Spoken and written communication.
  • Clinical case integration.
  • Clinical and organizational case analysis.
  • Methodological techniques application.
  • Analysis of the different research fields.
  • Understanding and analysis of the adequate intervention techniques for the different psychological cases.
  • Application and analysis of the different therapies to individuals suffering of psychosocial issues.
  • Application and integration of knowledge about human behavior in organizations.

The graduate shall display the following attitudes:

  • Service to the community without any distinction.
  • Ethics during his or her professional performance.
  • Critical evaluation of his or her job.
  • Analytic thought in the topics linked to clinical or organizational cases.

The graduate shall demonstrate possession of abilities to:

  • Make differential diagnosis.
  • Apply psychological tests in the clinical and organizational spheres.
  • Analyze clinical cases of children, youths, adults and elders.
  • Analyze organizational cases according to position analysis.
  • Talent acquisition.

 

Curriculum

  • Four year program
  • 51 courses for Clinical and 52 courses for Organizational
  • Practice from the first semesters
  • Mandatory courses in the English language from the first semester
  • Major subjects in English starting the fourth semester
  • One choice of Cultural Workshop in the first semester
  • Total Program´s Credits: 365.
  • General Knowledge component: 59 credits (includes 6 credits from 3 mandatory general knowledge courses with no charge).
  • Curricular courses taught in English are indicated by italics.
