Business and International Trade Master's Degree

This Program is aimed at all professionals who have completed a Licenciatura program with official recognition by the SEP, in the following disciplines:

Enrollment Profile

The applicant must possess the following qualities:

  • Logical-mathematical reasoning

  • Ability for organizing and understanding ideas
  • Ability for analyzing and synthetizing information

  • Persuasion and planning abilities

Objective

The postgraduate program consists of two years, the first of which corresponds to the Especialidad en Comercio Exterior, the 45 credits of which can be used by the student as an option for obtaining the Licenciatura Diploma Degree, provided that this modality is available in his or her institution of origin.

The second year corresponds to the Maestría en Negocios y Comercio Internacional, with a total of 6 four-month periods, which includes the abovementioned Specialization.

Especialidad en Comercio Exterior

Recognition of Official Validity of Studies by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), 2004396 dated on October 5, 2004.

The Especialidad en Comercio Exterior has the objective of deepening the theoretical and practical knowledge relating to foreign trade which enables the participation in procedures relating to international trade.

Maestría en Negocios y Comercio Internacional

Recognition of Official Validity of Studies by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), 2004394 dated on October 5, 2004.

The Maestría en Negocios y Comercio Internacional has the objective providing the mastery of the competences required for the design and coordination of the operation of international trade areas within companies, based on the identification and usage of the legal strategies to be employed in import and export procedures, with the objective of performing more cost-effective and efficient operations as well as of avoiding penalties imposed by the federal authorities.

Graduate’s profile

The graduate will identify and question the knowledge relating to:

  • The legal framework of foreign trade in Mexico

  • International regulations which apply to imports and exports

  • The Mexican customs’ system

  • The means of defense in Foreign Trade matters

  • The legal regulations in foreign investment matters

  • Applicable regulations to industrial property

  • The legal framework of foreign trade in Mexico

  • The combination of the legal and operational elements of Foreign Trade

  • The projection of commercial strategies for the efficient performance of imports and exports.

  • The exemplification of the difference between  the purchase of goods and services.

  • The coordination of the operation of an import and export department within a company

  • The design of public policies in International Trade matters.

The graduate will develop the abilities that will enable him or her to understand/ perform the following:

  • The organization of legal and administrative elements of an international trade transaction.
