Business Administration Master's Degree

The Graduate Program in Business Administration of the Universidad de las Américas de la Ciudad de México is aimed at all professionals who have completed a Licenciatura program with official recognition by the SEP, in the following disciplines:

Objective

The program is divided in two stages, Especialidad and Maestría Degree:

Especialidad en Administración Avanzada

Recognition of Official Validity of Studies by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), 2004397 dated on October 5, 2004.

The Especialidad en Administración Avanzada has the objective of strengthening and/or developing the professionals’ skills to carry out the Integration of multidisciplinary work teams and proposing strategies and policies to optimize the results of administrative management.

 

Enrollment profile

The applicant must possess the following qualities:

  • Numerical skills
  • Analysis capability
  • Motivation for rapid progress
  • Entrepreneurs starting or strengthening their business
  • Creative
  • At least two years of working experience
  • Understanding of the English language

Maestría en Administración

Recognition of Official Validity of Studies by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), 2004395 dated on October 5, 2004.

The Maestría en Administración has the objective of training executives and consultants who are capable of using research methodologies applicable to Administrative Sciences with the objective of performing the diagnosis and analysis of specific problems within organizations, as well as proposing solution alternatives to the identified problems or designing administrative systems for continuous improvement.

Professional Competences of the Graduate:

 
  • Updating and deepening knowledge in the areas of Administration, Marketing, Finance, Production, Quality and Economics.

  • Using and adapting the knowledge mentioned in the previous point under different conditions in any type of organization and his or her surroundings in an environment of international competition.

  • Perfecting professional skills in regard to the development of strategic thinking, oriented toward action, organization capabilities, critical and negotiation capabilities, the promotion of teamwork and decision making based on a logical process and focused toward reaching a specific objective.

  • Updating and deepening his or her knowledge in the area of methodology and acquiring knowledge relating to methodologies for the diagnosis of the needs within companies.

  • Perfecting the professional skills of Marketing, Finance, Production and Quality.

  • Being capable of proposing and developing, in a methodologically rigorous manner, research and projects focused both toward the solution of specific problems and to the development of new administrative techniques and systems within organizations.

  • Being capable of using and adapting the previously mentioned knowledge under different conditions, within any type of organization and his or her environment, in an environment of international competition.
